table 1-1. The carrying case has a high hinged top cover which is removable during operation, The tape transport

and amplifier circuitry are mounted on a steel chassis and aluminum panel assembly which mounts in the carrying

case. All operating controls and a record level indicator (VU meter) are mounted on a top panel of the chassis. Push-

button controls (switches) are used for simplicity of operation. Functional names of controls and a tape threading

diagram are marked on the top panel of the chassis. Input and output jacks are also located on the top panel. The

chassis is easily removed from the carrying case to facilitate servicing.
