INSTALLATION

UNPACKING.
The tape recorder is packed in double cardboard
containers for domestic shipment.
The inner container is placed in a
plastic bag for moisture proofing and then placed in the outer container.
Cardboard spacers are used to fill space around the equipment to re-
duce shock and movement during transport. Two reels of recording tape
(1800 feet each) and one empty take-up reel are packaged in separate
containers and are included in the inner container.
No special pro-
cedures need be followed for unpacking the equipment.
Care should be
observed to prevent damage to the equipment during unpacking.

surface area within eight feet of the ac power source (refer to fig. 2-2).
